Obituary for Robert Henry Long

Poynette / Evansville – Robert H. Long, age 82, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Agrace Hospice. He was born August 21, 1940 in Hillboro, WI.
He was a longtime resident of Poynette, WI. He was a herdsman for the last 20+ years for Junior at Manthe-Paulson Farms. He loved deer hunting, trout fishing and the Green Bay Packers. He was an expert gardener, avid story teller and master of telling his famous “Bob” jokes. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his sons Michael (Shari/aka Weegin) of Evansville WI, Richard (Carole) Long of Monticello WI, Stephen (Randene) Long of Evansville WI, stepson Tony Moen of Poynette WI, sister Millie (Arvid) Leverenz of Reedsburg WI, sister Jane Draves of Clinton WI, sister Shirley Yauchler of WIsconsin Dells WI. He is further survived by seven grandchildren, Ashley, Trevor, Carysa, Tara, Jarrett, Robert and Kevin and five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Masyn, Clayton, Calvin, Waverly and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife Roseann, his parents Marion & Lucille Long, brother Jim Long, brother-in-law Jerry Draves and nephew Dennis Draves.
The family would like to thank everyone at Meriter Hospital, Evansville Manor and Agrace Hospice for the care and compassion our Dad received. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 23rd, 2022 at Ochsner Park, Baraboo WI at the Main Shelter from 12:00 – 4:00pm.
