Shannon Persson passed away on March 2, 2021. Shannon was born on April 17th, 1976 in Duluth, Minnesota. We moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 1980 and became residents of Wisconsin. We moved around for a few years in various little towns around Madison. Then in 1988 we were able to purchase a home in Arlington, Wisconsin., this has been the home Shannon knew. She graduated from Poynette High School in 1994. She worked at the UW Hospitals in Madison for a few years. Then in 2003 she had a son with Jamie Dalsoren, her son’s name is Anthony James Dalsoren. She also moved around the Madison area & settled down in the Sun Prairie area. She enjoyed having her son learning the art of fishing & he did it very well.
Shannon loved the biker style living, had her own motorcycle & loved the leather and lace. She also had many tattoos and loved going to the tattoo shows to show them off. She had many awards for her tattoos, they were beautiful. Shannon’s other interests was football. Believe it or not, she could tell you about every player on every team and their stats. She loved doing the online betting. Her favorite team was the Chicago Bears. She loved telling us who would win the game & by how much, she was usually quite close on both counts. She also loved crocheting & knitting, mom & Shannon would often share patterns. They talked about the pattern they were working on & the colors they were using.
Here is a memory from her brother Marcus:
“When us kids were probably the ages of my sons are now, we were at home; you & mom were out doing a big grocery run. All of us kids were at the house. We were doing superman rides on Shannon's legs. She was on our grey couch by the arm rest, legs in the air, her back was where we sat. We would go to where her legs where & she would HOIST us up over her & we would splash down on the couch. we were living our best lives, she was being the best big sister, playing with all of us. I remember feeling so special, that my older sister was so into playing with us..... I remember it being such a good time.... Until Cynthia.... lol, decided to put her face into Shannon’s toes and rip her gum up into her brain. We got our butts whooped, but we honestly had an honest great time. Looking back, giving what you knew of the situation, I probably would have done the same as y’all did, lol. The times you guys needed to go get shit done for the family, I can tell you, most of the time she was great with us siblings.”

Here is a memory from her sister Cynthia:
I do not know how old Shannon was, maybe 15 or 16, she was young, Shannon, Raina & I were all at Grandma and Grandpa's house spending the summer. it was just supposed to be just us three girls for the month or something. Shannon & Raina liked to go off by themselves a lot without me, I would always spy on them to see what they were doing. They were supposed to be spending time with me, but they were so much older than I was & we just did not relate. one night Shannon & Raina when sneaking outside to have a cigarette, when they were not supposed to be smoking. They thought that grandma was asleep, but she was not either. I sat watching through the window & saw Shannon & Raina laughing it up giggling a lot together while they were lighting up a cigarette. Since the cigarette had to be lit in their faces, they really could not see what was outside with them. They were busy laughing, giggling & smoking, finally they were able to see, the backyard at Grandma & Grandpa's had bears. when they finally realized this, they were so terrified they came running into the house. As they were running down the steps to the basement (they were treacherous steps) nobody could have run down those stairs without falling. Shannon & Raina go tumbling down the stairs together, they hit the brick wall at the bottom of the stairs together, they were both crying, they were scared from the Bears. I think one of them even peed on themselves. Then grandma opens the door to the top of the stairs & asked the girls is everything was okay, “I thought I heard a noise. Are you guys okay down there?” Shannon & Raina had to play it off, like as if nothing happened & luckily, they did not get hurt. They had bruises from the fall. It was so funny! Grandma, Shannon, Raina & I joked about it ever since.
